so my three weeks of summer i was given by kennesaw state university, i’ve spent finding television shows thanks to Hulu.
Dorm Life
Probably one of the best things I’ve ever found. This was my first Hulu Finding. I just randomly watched the first episode – it was 5 minutes – and got addicted. I truly am in love with all the characters. It’s a random online tv show – you should check it out. It’s actually pretty clean which i was surprised about. But yes, definitely recommend it.
Glee
“I’m Beyonce, not Kelly Rowland.”
That was probably one of the
funniest things I’ve heard all month. I’m pretty big into pop-culture . The show Glee just aired on Fox last night – I watched it today – had never heard of it but got strangely addicted. The chemistry between Emma and Will is pretty fantastic. Their forbidden chemistry is pretty great TV. It’s like Will made a huge mistake in marrying his first girlfriend – and I’ve seen others I know make this mistake – falling head over heels without knowing what is out there. Sure, some don’t need to know – but its healthy. Anyway, back to the actual show – the ending was fantastic. Predictable, yes. Will says something I’ve faced in my own life… “It would kill me to see you win Nationals without me.” Sure, fayco won’t win nationals – but if they won anything big, it’d kill me if it were without me. Good show, anticipating it’s return in Fall 2009.
Grey’s Anatomy
Not a new liking, but oh my gosh, my love is back for this show.
007. Genius writing. Best writing of the entire season, probably the best since the second season. I’m excited. But does this mean I have to wait 24 episodes+ every year to see a great episode.
“Screw the DNR. Get me a crash cart.”
Parks & Recreation
FROM THE PEOPLE WHO BRING YOU THE OFFICE. That’s all they do to really advertise this show? Maybe they should just say, “Hey watch this show – I know it’s not that great.. but by season 3 it will be fantastic.” That’s my opinion of the Office. Started crappy but turned into a really funny show. Too bad it comes on during Grey’s – aka I don’t watch it. Well, P&R doesn’t. It fits perfectly into my Thursday Night schedule at 8:30pm. However I still am waiting for the speed humps episode – I tried to find a clip online but cannot find it – once I do I’ll post.
Sit Down, Shut Up
My biggest disappointment thus far. 4 Episodes and cancelled. I guess that’s what you get for kind of enjoying a Fox show. It’s a Seth McFarlane creation I hear, he’s the guy who does Family Guy, etc. I enjoyed it. It wasn’t like I’d watch it when it came on – but I’d definitely watch it on Hulu when I found time. Maybe it could be effective on Adult Swim? Or TBS/Peachtree TV on a syndication-esque schedule. Who knows, I’m looking forward to the “unaired” episodes to finally be released so the public can see what they missed. Do we have ourselves another Freaks and Geeks? Probably not- it wasn’t that great.
